Two people have died and four others were seriously injured in a road accident in Mattakkuliya last night (16).

Police stated that a speeding car collided with three three-wheelers and four motorcycles travelling along the road.

Six injured persons were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital, where two later succumbed to their injuries.

The driver of the car has been arrested. Mattakkuliya Police are conducting further investigations.
