The timeframe for submitting complaints and information to the Presidential Commission investigating corruption and fraud at the Colombo Municipal Council has been extended to 16 March.

The Commission, appointed in December 2025, is tasked with examining alleged irregularities at the Council.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake named former High Court Judge Piyasena Ranasinghe, Chartered Accountant E.R.M.S.H. Ekanayake, and former SSP D.S. Wickramasinghe as members.
