The government led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake marks two years in office today (21), following his victory at the 2024 Presidential Election.

Dissanayake secured 5,740,179 votes after second-preference votes were counted and was sworn in as Sri Lanka’s ninth Executive President.

At the November 2024 Parliamentary Election, the National People’s Power secured 159 seats and formed the government.

A series of public rallies is being held across the island to mark the second anniversary and highlight the government’s programmes and future plans.
