A few showers are expected in the Northern and Eastern provinces today (11), according to the Department of Meteorology. Showers or thundershowers may also occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts during the evening or night.

Mainly dry weather is expected across the rest of the island.

Misty conditions may be experienced in parts of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, and in the Galle and Matara districts during the early morning hours.
