Sri Lankan athletes shine at 22nd Asia Masters Athletics Championships

Sri Lankan athletes have emerged triumphant at the 22nd Asia Masters Athletics Championships held in the Philippines from 8-12 November.

With a tally of 25 Gold, 34 Silver, and 25 Bronze medals, the Sri Lankan contingent secured 8th position in the overall standings.

Dasun Silva, a standout competitor in the 35-39 age group, further elevated Sri Lanka’s achievements by setting a new Asian competition record.

The team touched down at Katunayake, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) aboard Singapore Airlines flight SQ 468 last night (13).
