Three Sri Lankans who travelled to Ethiopia for employment have been rescued after being abducted shortly after arrival.
The rescue followed a joint operation launched after the Sri Lankan Embassy in Ethiopia alerted local authorities.
Security forces found the victims at a house in Shashamane and rescued them unharmed.
Six suspects, including two Ethiopians and four Pakistanis, were arrested.
Investigators said the suspects had demanded a ransom of $90,000 for the release of the three Sri Lankans.
