Department of Meteorology has issued an Amber advisory for rough sea conditions and strong winds in several coastal sea areas around Sri Lanka.

The warning, valid until 4.30 p.m. tomorrow(01), covers sea areas from Mullaitivu to Chilaw via Kankesanthurai and Mannar, and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.

The department noted that winds could reach 60–65 kmph and urged fishing and naval communities to remain vigilant.
