The Crime-Branch Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Homagama Police has been arrested by the Western Province South Crime Division in connection with the death of a young man while in police custody.

Meanwhile, the service of three officers attached to the Homagama Police, including the arrested officer, has been suspended in connection with the incident.
