ICC representatives who are currently in the country, including Imran Khwaja and Devajit Sakia, met President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo amid ongoing discussions over the future direction of cricket administration in the country.

The meeting comes during a high-profile visit by ICC officials following recent developments in the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket. 

ICC officials have also held discussions with officials of the newly installed SLC administration at SLC headquarters as attention remains focused on governance and structural reforms in Sri Lankan cricket.

The visit follows the appointment of a nine-member Cricket Transformation Committee (CTC) by Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage after the resignation of the previous SLC leadership headed by Shammi Silva. 

The Committee, led by former MP Eran Wickremaratne, has been tasked with overseeing cricket administration and implementing reforms until fresh elections are held to the sport’s local governing body.
