The Government has collected more than Rs. 25 billion through the Personal Income Tax just within the first quarter of 2023, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) mentioned in a recent statement.

The total revenue from the Advance Personal Income Tax from January to March amounted to a total of Rs. 25,577 million, the IRD noted in the statement.

In January, IRD collected Rs. 3,106 million from the tax, while the revenue climbed to Rs. 10,540 million and Rs. 11,931 million in February and March, respectively.
