Tiana Sumanasekara, who participated in the American Olympic National Selection Tournament as an American athlete of Sri Lankan origin for the first time in the history of American gymnastics, was ranked 8th at the final standings. First place was won by Olympic champion Simone Biles, and the top 5 will represent the US gymnastics team at the Paris Olympics. The 6th and 7th placed players will join the squad as travelling reserves.
