A special discussion has been held on integrating the National Defence Fund and “Api Wenuwen Api” Fund with the Ranaviru Seva Fund and other welfare programmes for Tri-Service personnel.

The meeting focused on appointing an expert committee to assess the financial, legal and administrative implications of the proposed integration.

Discussions also covered possible financial assistance for armed forces personnel to settle loans obtained from financial institutions.

No final decision has been announced on the proposed integration or loan-assistance mechanism.
