Sri Lanka has welcomed 2.1 million tourists so far this year, with the sector showing rapid recovery after recent natural disasters, SLTPB Chairman Buddhika Hewawasam said.
Hotels and guesthouses in tourist zones have resumed operations, and visiting foreigners have reported positive travel experiences with no major incidents.
Major cultural sites including Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, and Polonnaruwa and popular wildlife parks such as Yala have reopened, along with marine attractions in areas like Mirissa.
Tourism officials say the strong rebound signals that Sri Lanka is safe, prepared, and ready to welcome travellers once again.
