The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) informed Colombo Magistrate’s Court of its intention to obtain a 90-day detention order for a female lawyer previously held for 72 hours, suspected of aiding the murder of underworld figure Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne, alias ‘Ganemulla Sanjeewa’. 

The statement was made during investigations into organized criminal Mandinu Padmasiri Perera, alias ‘Kehelbaddara Padme’, a main suspect in the case.
