Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage has approved the new Selection Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket(SLC).

According to the Ministry of Sports, the appointments were made following a request submitted by Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday(20).

Kapila Wijegunawardena has been appointed Chairman of the committee, while Amal Silva, Brendon Kuruppu, Waruna Waragoda and Vanessa De Silva have been named as members.

The Ministry stated that the appointments are expected to support more transparent and efficient selection processes in Sri Lanka Cricket.
