Sri Lanka has recorded 19,215 dengue cases so far this year, according to the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU).

The highest number was reported in April with 5,175 cases, while 1,669 infections have already been confirmed in the first 10 days of May.

Ten districts, including Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, and Kandy, have been identified as high-risk zones.

Health authorities are urging the public to eliminate mosquito breeding sites to curb the spread of the disease.
