Indian PM Modi concludes historic visit to Sri Lanka

Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has wrapped up his two-day state visit to Sri Lanka, marking the final leg of his trip in Anuradhapura.


During the visit, he inaugurated key projects, including the Maho-Omanthai railway signaling system, and participated in the launch of several development initiatives supported by India.


PM Modi was awarded the 'Sri Lanka Mitra Vibhushana' by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in recognition of his contributions to strengthening ties between the two nations.


The visit also saw the signing of 7 Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) across various sectors such as energy, healthcare, and digitalization.


Accordingly, PM Modi left for Tamil Nadu after his engagements in Anuradhapura, concluding his trip.
