A Cabinet subcommittee has reviewed development plans to modernise 25 technical and industrial colleges under the Department of Technical Education and Training.

The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, focused on improving infrastructure, expanding vocational education opportunities, and upgrading training facilities.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that the initiative aims to enhance technical skills development and provide students with access to modern vocational training.
