Homagama Police have arrested 16 individuals and taken 16 illegally modified motorcycles into custody during traffic raids targeting excessive speeding and noise.

Police said the motorcycles had unauthorised modifications, including altered silencers, removed side mirrors and mudguards, missing number plates, and modified lighting systems.

The suspects were released on bail and are scheduled to appear before the Homagama Magistrate's Court on 22 July, while further investigations are underway.
