Sri Lanka has recorded over 840,000 tourist arrivals so far in 2026, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

A total of 840,411 visitors arrived between 1 January and 22 April, with the highest number from India.

While nearly 100,000 tourists visited in April so far, daily arrivals have declined compared to previous months.
