Hungary and Sri Lanka will sign a 2025-2027 Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in higher education, extending the 2022-2024 agreement.
Under the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program, 20 annual scholarships will be offered to Sri Lankan students: 8 for undergraduate degrees, 8 for postgraduate degrees, and 4 for doctoral degrees in fields like science, technology, engineering, mathematics, medicine, health sciences, and agriculture.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal by the Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya, also the Minister of Education, to sign the MoU with Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
