The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) and the Road Development Authority (RDA) have launched a joint project to mitigate landslide risks along the Bibile - Passara road. 

NBRO Senior Geologist Laksiri Indrathilaka stated that mitigation efforts are planned for completion within the next year. 

Given the frequent landslide risk in the Badulla district, a team of NBRO experts is assessing high-risk areas for stabilisation. 

Several landslides have also been reported and monitored along the Koslanda road, with proactive steps taken to ensure stability.
