President Anura Kumara Dissanayake reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering justice in long-standing case, the assassination of journalist Lasantha Wickremetunge

The President acknowledged challenges, such as missing evidence and key witnesses, but assured that investigations would continue. 

He also emphasised efforts to reinstate and recruit detectives to support ongoing inquiries into high-profile cases. 

Despite obstacles, President Dissanayake expressed confidence that justice will prevail.
