The Hirdaramani Group has joined hands with Sri Lanka Netball as their Official Clothing Partner.

The announcement comes as the Sri Lanka National team heads out to participate in the Netball World Cup 2023 in South Africa.

“We are truly grateful for the generous contribution and support from Hirdaramani. This is the first time these teams have received custom sports kits developed to international standards and we believe it is an important step as we represent Sri Lanka on a global stage. It is also an important recognition of the pride that the women’s netball teams bring to the country,” said Sri Lanka Netball President Victoria Lakshmi.

Sri Lanka’s women’s netball team is currently ranked 15th in the world. They are the reigning champions of the Asian Netball Championships, with consecutive wins in 2018 and 2022 (the Asian Championships were not held in between these years), with rankings in the top three for all previous Asian Championships. Similarly, they have ranked consistently well in all the world cups they have played in, starting with ninth place in the first World Cup in 1963.

The junior team is also racking up successes, most recently placing third at the Asian Youth Netball Championship 2023 in South Korea.
