The Department of Pensions has been targeted by the Cloak ransomware group, according to FalconFeeds.io. 

Details on data compromise or ransom demands remain unconfirmed, and the department has not publicly acknowledged the incident. 

An internal investigation is reportedly underway. 

Cybersecurity analyst Asela Waidyalankara urged swift action, noting a prior breach at Cargills Bank flagged by the same platform in March 2025. 

The Cloak group is notorious for encrypting data and extorting victims for decryption keys and data confidentiality.
