A 23-year-old Kelaniya resident was killed and four others injured in a shooting near the Sahaspura Sirisara Housing Complex in Borella last night (07).

Police said two unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire with a T-56 rifle around 8:40 p.m. before fleeing the scene. 

The injured, aged 21 to 23, are being treated at the Colombo National Hospital.
