Gold prices in Sri Lanka have sharply increased by around Rs. 10,000 following a significant surge in the global market where the price crossed $4,212 an ounce today(13).
In the Colombo Pettah gold market, the price of a 22-carat gold sovereign has risen to Rs. 310,800, up from Rs. 301,500 yesterday(12).
Concurrently, a 24-carat gold sovereign is now selling for Rs. 336,000, having been approximately Rs. 326,000 on 12 November, according to traders.
