A delegation of experts and specialists from the United Kingdom (UK) tea industry is in Sri Lanka this week to explore business opportunities with local specialty tea producers.
The mission, funded by the UK Government’s Trade Partnerships (UKTP) programme, connects 12 UK tea companies with producers across Sri Lanka’s diverse regions to showcase premium teas crafted with unique methods and flavors.
The initiative aims to strengthen trade relations and promote sustainable growth for both the UK and Sri Lankan tea sectors.
A tea reception hosted by the British High Commission in Colombo will further facilitate networking and partnership-building.
