Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Hiniduma Sunil Senevi has been elected President of the Sri Lanka-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Association.

MP Mujibur Rahman was appointed as Secretary during the revival meeting held on 9 May at Parliament, under the patronage of Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.

The event was graced by Palestine’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ihab I.M. Khalil, and attended by senior parliamentary officials and MPs.

The meeting reaffirmed Sri Lanka’s steadfast support for Palestine and highlighted the Association’s role in promoting dialogue, cultural ties, and parliamentary diplomacy.
