A number of families residing in Raththagala, Ruwanwella, and the Manikkawatta colony in Hatton have been evacuated to safer locations due to the risk of possible landslides. A total of 11 families in Raththagala have been relocated to the Raththagala Primary School. A total of 50 people belonging to 13 families in the Manikkawatta colony have been moved to the Welioya Tamil Maha Vidyalaya.
