Thirty-nine individuals from nine families in Galle District have been moved to temporary shelters at Sudarshanaramaya Temple, Piyadigama, due to recent adverse weather, the Sri Lanka Army reported.

The Army also rescued four civilians yesterday (21), including a mother and her two-month-old infant, stranded by rising floodwaters, and safely escorted them to the relief centre.
