Sri Lanka and the Maldives have allocated land in Colombo and the Maldives respectively for their High Commissions.
The development was announced during Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu’s official visit to Sri Lanka.
Seven Memoranda of Understanding were also signed covering tourism, education, health, defence and youth development.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake noted that both countries will expand cooperation and explore investment opportunities.
The visit will continue until May 6, with special traffic arrangements in place in Colombo.
