The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued Level 1 and Level 2 landslide early warnings for several areas in eight districts.

Level 2 warnings are in effect for selected areas of Galle, Kandy, Kegalle, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura and Kalutara districts.

Level 1 warnings cover selected areas of Colombo, Kalutara, Kegalle, Matara, Ratnapura and Galle districts.

The warnings are in effect from 10.00 a.m. today (20) until 10.00 a.m. tomorrow (21). Residents in affected areas have been urged to remain vigilant.
