The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) has completed filming for “Serendipitous Journeys,” a Chinese reality series by Mango TV, featuring celebrities Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang. 

The six-episode segment, filmed in Trincomalee, follows the couple immersing in local life, set to premiere in July 2025. 

With 120 million followers, the stars will boost Sri Lanka’s visibility among Chinese travellers. 

Minister of Tourism Vijitha Herath called it a cultural bridge, promoting authentic storytelling and tourism. 

Additional footage will highlight Sri Lanka’s beauty, as SLTPB aims to leverage such partnerships for global promotion.
