The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued Level 1 landslide early warnings for areas in Colombo, Kalutara and Kegalle districts.

The warning is in effect from 10.00 a.m. today (16) until 10.00 a.m. tomorrow (17).

The affected areas include Seethawaka in Colombo; several Divisional Secretariat divisions in Kalutara; and Warakapola and Ruwanwella in Kegalle.

Residents in the affected areas have been advised to remain vigilant and follow safety instructions issued by authorities.
