The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) will observe Anti Pyramid Week from 14–18 July to raise awareness about illegal pyramid and deposit schemes. 

CBSL warns that registering as a company does not legalise accepting public deposits without Central Bank approval.

Legal action is underway against 22 such illegal operations.
