The Ministry of Health and Mass Media has launched a new manual on maintaining healthy school canteens to improve the nutritional quality of food provided to students.
The guidelines aim to promote nutritious, safe and affordable meals, encourage healthy eating habits, and strengthen hygiene and management standards in school canteens.
The initiative comes amid concerns over malnutrition and rising consumption of unhealthy food among children and adolescents, with the Ministry calling for stronger action to improve nutrition nationwide.
