The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) says foreign tourist arrivals to the country have surpassed 317,000 so far in 2026.
According to the SLTDA, a total of 317,381 foreign tourists arrived in Sri Lanka between 1 January and 4 February.
Indian nationals formed the largest segment, with 57,348 arrivals, followed by visitors from the United Kingdom (34,724), Russia (30,951), Germany (20,272) and China (16,315).
Tourist arrivals were also recorded from several other countries, including France, Australia and the Netherlands.
The SLTDA noted that 40,054 foreign tourists visited Sri Lanka during the first four days of February alone.
