The National People’s Power (NPP) has secured a sweeping victory in the Bope-Poddala Pradeshiya Sabha, winning 16,828 votes and 11 seats.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) followed with 7,297 votes and 4 seats, while the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) claimed 3 seats with 4,444 votes.
The United National Party (UNP) obtained 2 seats, and one seat went to an independent group.
The result further cements NPP’s growing dominance in local bodies across the country.
