The Cabinet has approved the appointment of U.L. Udaya Kumara Perera as the new Commissioner General of Excise, as proposed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Perera, a Senior Commissioner in the Inland Revenue Department and a Special Grade officer in the Sri Lanka Inland Revenue Service, replaces U.D.N. Jayawickrama, who has been reassigned to the Inland Revenue Department.
