Minister of Energy Anura Karunathilaka has assured that there are no obstacles to maintaining an uninterrupted electricity supply in the country.
Speaking during an inspection visit to the Lakvijaya Power Plant in Norochcholai, the Minister stated that arrangements are already underway to import coal for 2026 and 2027.
He dismissed reports that power cuts could be imposed due to a shortage of coal, stating that such claims are false.
