Police has announced a special traffic plan for the official visit of Indian Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, scheduled from April 19 to 20, 2026.

The motorcade will travel from Bandaranaike International Airport to Taj Samudra Hotel via key routes including the Katunayake–Colombo Expressway, Baseline Road, Borella Junction, D.S. Senanayake Junction, Horton Place, and Galle Road.

Police stated that intermittent traffic restrictions will be imposed along these routes during the movement of the motorcade. 

Heavy vehicles will be restricted from operating two hours prior to the convoy’s movement.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and cooperate with authorities to minimize inconvenience during the visit.
