A Supplementary Estimate of Rs. 500 billion aimed at restoring the livelihoods of people affected by the recent disaster was presented to Parliament today (18).

Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya tabled the estimate, which will be referred to the Committee on Public Finance. 

The proposal is scheduled to be debated and approved by Parliament tomorrow (19).
