The Ministry of Health's Food Safety Unit has issued a public advisory urging against reusing plastic bottles for drinking water storage. 

Health officials warn that chemicals from single-use plastic bottles can leach into water with repeated use, potentially posing cancer risks. 

The public is advised to stop reusing such bottles, and institutions using large 19-liter bottles have been instructed to follow safety protocols to prevent health hazards.
