The Election Commission (EC) has issued a final reminder to all political parties and independent groups to submit the names of their elected local Government (LG) members along with mandatory female representatives by 12:00 midnight on 30 May, 2025.

Despite the LG elections concluding over 3 weeks ago, several groups have yet to complete their member nominations, delaying preparations for the new term.

The term is scheduled to commence on June 2, 2025, as per Gazette Notification No. 2424/02 issued by the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.

The Commission stressed that timely submission is essential to facilitate the gazetting of the final list of representatives, in accordance with Gazette Extraordinary No. 2438/13, dated 27 May, 2025.
