The special exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic, ‘Siri Dalada Wandanawa,’ continued for its sixth day today (23) at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, drawing massive crowds.
As of yesterday, over 180,000 devotees visited the temple, and authorities expect today's number to exceed 100,000.
Due to the overwhelming turnout, police have urged pilgrims to consider visiting on other days to avoid overcrowding.
The exposition began daily at 11:00 a.m. and will run until 27 April.
Devotees have also been offering ‘Dansal’ and other services to support fellow worshippers.
