Seeking to help our neighbourhood communities, Cargills Bank recently conducted a Beach Cleaning Program at the Dehiwala Beach.

The project brought together over 80 team members from various areas of the bank who volunteered their time to clean the shoreline.

The initiative was a collaborative effort, organized in partnership with the Coastal Conservation Authority, the Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA), and the Dehiwala Municipal Council.

The beach clean-up sought to improve the environment of the Dehiwala coastal stretch, while raising public awareness regarding responsible waste management and the critical need to protect marine ecosystems from pollution.

The initiative is part of a broader program by the bank to build stronger

communities, focusing on areas such as early education and the environment.
