Sri Lanka Police say preparations are underway to bring back 89 suspects wanted under international Red Notices who are currently hiding abroad.

Police Media Spokesperson F. U. Wootler said eight suspects were repatriated from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 27 May.

Police also brought back 21 suspects from the UAE on 22 May and said investigations are ongoing.

According to police, 32 Red Notice suspects have been returned to Sri Lanka between 2024 and 2026, with efforts continuing to repatriate the remaining wanted individuals.
