The All-Island Canteen Owners’ Association has decided to increase prices of flour-based short eats, including parata and egg roti, by Rs. 5.

String hoppers will increase by Re. 1 and hoppers by Rs. 2, following a Rs. 17 increase in the price of a kilogramme of wheat flour.

The All-Island Bakery Owners’ Association will discuss possible price increases for bread and other bakery products next Monday.
