The Southern Provincial Road Passenger Transport Authority has launched ‘SP Bus,’ a new mobile application offering real-time bus arrival times and service updates across the Southern Province. 

The official launch took place at the Matara Main Bus Stand, led by MP Ajantha Gammaddage. The app aims to make public transport more convenient by providing estimated arrival times and service status. 

Additionally, GPS devices are being installed in all Sri Lanka Transport Board buses within the province to enable passengers and officials to track bus locations, monitor speeds, and manage service schedules effectively.

This initiative enhances transparency and operational efficiency in the region’s public transport system.
